Carpal tunnel syndrome occurs with pressure on the mediannerve passing through the carpal tunnel, and is diagnosedby typical symptoms, signs and electrodiagnosticexamination. A twenty-one year old woman suffered fromosteogenesis imperfecta and neurofibromatosis was referredfor severe both hands tingling sensation. On physicalexamination, both carpal tunnel syndrome was suspected. We test electrodiagnostic examination, but we could not findany abnormalities. We could diagnose the carpal tunnelsyndrome with diagnostic ultrasonography by measuring thecross-sectional area of the median nerve at the pisiformbone level. In this case, both carpal tunnel syndrome werediagnosed by ultrasonography, and the symptoms were improvedafter surgical treatment. (Clinical Pain 2014;13:94-98)
